Today you are you!
That’s is truer than true!
There is no one alive who is you-er than you!
~ Dr. Seuss

Why am I quoting Dr. Seuss?

It’s not just because it’s his birthday month, it’s because this rhyme is about brand … maybe not his intended meaning, but that’s what I hear!

Branding is not about getting your target market to choose you over the competition, but it is about getting your prospects to see you as the only one that provides a solution to their problem.

Your brand is a foundational piece in your overall marketing strategy and one you do not want to be without. There’s no magic formula to get you to Dr. Seuss’, “There is no one alive who is you-er than you!” It just takes work and perseverance.

At Conveyance Marketing Group, we help our clients created a consciousness, an image, and awareness for their brand. Like I said before, there is no magic formula – just a lot of hard work, a bit of experience and stick-to-it-ness.

Here are a few of our tried and true branding strategies …

Be sure that your brand provide something that warrants attention on a consistent basis, something your audience wants and is not getting from your competitors.

Stick with your brand and continually maintain it. When you start to get sick of your logo, tagline, or branding efforts, that’s most likely when they are sinking in with your customers.

Don’t try to appeal to everyone!

Know who you are. Only honest and through analysis will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and get you to the point of knowing what you do best.

Fully commit to branding. Integrate your brand strategies through your company at every point of public contact.

Treat all functions of the company, from product development to sales, as integral aspects of your brand.

My favorite example of a brand done right is Apple. Think about how you’ve seen the Apple brand in advertising, trade shows, packaging, and product design. It’s distinctive and it all adds up to a particular promise: quality of design and ease of use. Now, create, practice and maintain your own brand!
